So what do you do to celebrate a birthday in the dead of winter in the heartland of the good ole USA? Well, given that it happens to be the "snowiest winter since the 1960's"..... you play in the snow. Don't let all the sunshine fool you. It was about -16 degrees on Ashton's birthday!! (windchill that is)
Did you notice he cross behind the girls? Seeing it now I am reminded that I am a blessed woman to have daughters who have laid it all at the foot of the cross and are washed white as snow, and...that they have chosen to walk with friends who are also redeemed.
The snow on the ground was about 18 inches deep....for weeks!
Sitting to rest. It takes a lot of effort to walk around in snow this deep. Besides, these girls danced about 4 hours this morning before the party.

Well, I'd heard about the birthday bash, but pictures certainly do demonstrate what 18 inches of snow "means" a whole lot better than words do!

I am so glad we got to help celebrate Ashton's big 18th. But better yet that your camera could be fixed and didn't have to be replaced.......love you can't wait to see the March snow pictures.
