KP: Plastic is Not a Substitute I Should Settle For

KP writes:

I was reflecting on the goodness of real relationship. In our world of plastic, so often we grow comfortable with the "less". We substitute the better for the convenient, and we end up with the shallow. It is true of our relationships with others, and most definitely in our relationship with the Lord. We have such a "fast food diet" of Him, that we miss the goodness and pleasure of the FEAST, that is ours for the taking.

Plastic is not a substitute that we should settle for.

Love,
Kristian

GOD DOES NOT WANT US TO HAVE PLASTIC RELATIONSHIPS. WHICH IN THIS FAST PLACE LIFE WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO SETTLE FOR. ESPECIALLY WITH OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. PEOPLE COME AND GO IN OUR LIVES TRUE FRIENDSHIPS YOU CAN GO YEARS WITHOUT HAVING ANY CONTACT WHICH YOU THINK WILL NEVER HAPPEN BUT IT DOES. THEN SOMETHING HAPPENS TO RECONNECT YOU (MAYBE OLD AGE) AND YOU JUST PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF. THIS IS THE JOY OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FROM OUR LORD. I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I AM ALWAYS AMAZED AT GOD'S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND TOUCH IN OUR TIME OF NEED. THE ONLY TRUE FRIEND !!!!!!! SO WE ARE NEVER TRULY ALONE IN OUR TIMES OF NEED.

Very good analogy. We're in the midst of a week of fasting and then prayer every night at the church - it's been a tremendous time of drawing us closer to the Lord's heart. We're expecting Him to really do some incredible things in and through us all.
