INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY (Mutiple Post #4)

KP WRITES:

Ephesians 3:20-21, "Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."

STRUCTURE BACKGROUND Here at the IHOP-KC missions base there are currently 2 prayer rooms. The Global Prayer Room is the "big" one. It is the main one that runs 24 hours a day/7 days per week and has continued for 10 years this month.

The GPR is the prayer room that is continuously broadcast live on the Internet. You must audition for each position (singer, keys, bass, etc...) you want to participate in for the GPR. Then you must be invited (by the worship leader) to a team, usually for a trial period, then 'permanently'. (Not much of anything is permanent around here.)

The other prayer room is the Justice Prayer Room about 1.5 miles down the road. It runs M-F, approx. 6AM-10pm or midnight. The teams in the JPR are comprised of some who are 'approved' (post audition) and some who are still in the process. It is a ripe training ground for musicians and intercessors alike who are learning the Harp and Bowl model of prayer. The Lord's presence is very tender in the JPR, and yet He moves mightily in the heavenlies to the cries of His children worship and intercession.

ASHTON'S SCHEDULE:
Anyway, Ashton is in the audition process for voice. (Typically, people audition 2-4 times before approval) After that is accomplished she will audition on keys. In the meantime she is playing keys in the JPR once a week for a student set (set=team that plays a 2 hour block of time), and 4 sets a week for Tamice's team. This has been a great experience and she is learning so much. She is also an intercessor on Audra Lynn's team (both in the GPR and JPR) for 5 sets per week. (Check out her new CD 'Vow'. It is very good.)

Each team is like a 'family' group. They meet for a half hour before their set to pray,
study the word, and connect with the Lord, together. They are running the same race, and doing it side by side. You can definitely see the fruit as they lead worship! Then they meet for 15-30 minutes after each set to 'de-brief' in the same fashion.

THE INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY: OK...I have to get to the "Incredible Opportunity" part of this email before I loose you. Friday pm 4/17 Audra was out of town on a ministry trip to lead worship at the Orlando ONETHING regional conference. Audra got Tamice to cover her set that evening in the GPR (main prayer room)

So....GUESS WHAT?? YES, my Ashton got to play keys for a set in the GPR!!!! We had not even thought to ask the Lord for that! (Hence the Eph. 3:20 reference) But as Tamice's keys player it was a done deal. It was also fabulous because my mom and dad had just gotten here that day and were able to be a part of this. (and to help with the photos....you don't think I would miss that photo opportunity. Some of the pix are a little fuzzy since no flash was used, but still good enough) The last photo includes Ashton and Mallory's friend Kaeo on guitar. He is the 13 year old son of our friends from Hawaii. (the Skeeles)

Excitedly serving the Lord!!

I could not decide which photo grouping to "tag" this post onto, so I'll just put it at the end.

All of our "visit time" was great, but seeing Mallory singing in the JPR and Ashton playing in the GPR had to be TWO of the highlights!

P.S. Please forward fees for my copyrighted photos that you used!

Also, great job of explaining things about the prayer rooms, teams, "sets", etc. for those of us who are "not in the know"!
